Hot pot Meets BBQ is a restaurant in Ithaca, New York. It is listed at 722 S Meadow St Ste 800, Ithaca, NY 14850, which places it among the local businesses of Ithaca that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 12–11 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (607) 319-0787. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, meetshotpot.com.

Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 223 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded restaurants in Ithaca.

Ithaca is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Ithaca is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted by such friendly staff members. We were shown our table, and after stating it was our first time, we were adequately told how things worked in terms of ordering, receiving orders etc. We were told at the front of the restaurant is their sauce bar, alongside with appetizers and desserts. We walked up, grabbed our sauces and took a quick look at what they had to offer for appetizers and desserts. Unfortunately, the items looked dreadful. The appetizers consisted of fried chicken wings, french fries, sesame balls and a seafood boil consisting of crawfish, mussels, shrimp and corn. All the items looked dehydrated, old and way past their prime. Nevertheless, we came for the all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ and we started ordering items off the iPad and they quickly made their way to our table. A very convenient plastic bottle of oil was at every table which made cooking on the grill that much easier. We placed in a handful of different cuts/marinated meats and seafood. Everything we ordered was phenomenal. Our top favourites were the kalbi (Korean short ribs), bulgogi and scallops. I'd like to mention the service here is top notch and impeccable.

This place is absolutely amazing. Top tier KBBQ and hotpot! One of the best I’ve ever had even beating some stuff from the west coast! The service deserves a 6/5, absolutely phenomenal service, everyone was personable and easy to talk to, very respectful, and FAST. My water never got below half before being filled up! We were served our hot pot broths, fresh grill, and all the fixings before we sat back down! Must try!!

This place clearly prioritizes "Money" over the "customer"experience. I’ve had a lot of KBBQ, but this spot is a coin flip: sometimes you get decent food, sometimes you get food poisoning. I've found small bugs at the self-serve and hair in my food a couple of times, which is proof of the lack of attention to basic hygiene. The consistent issue is the staff (mainly the women). About 7 out of 10 times, they are rude, have a clear attitude problem, and are not customer-oriented at all. It feels like they are actively driving away business. Management needs to invest in customer care training and maybe raise their pay so the staff aren't taking out their frustrations on patrons. I will not be returning until they implement some customer training and better food safety. Even though it profits over good customer service, and I know nothing will change, but I had to say it.

I pretty much ate biweekly here. My first time having hot pot which was always great to have during the harsh winters. After the many times that I’ve come here, I’ve always enjoyed having both the hot pot and kbb. There are times when I’m in the mood for one over the other but majority of times having both has always been better. The owners have done a wonderful job maintaining this place and have always been welcoming to my friends and family. The best spot to eat here in Ithaca. Also, if you do get BBQ, here’s a tip: season the meats with the salt & spice rub. Add the oil all over the grill and ensure it’s hot. Add the minced garlic and onions and caramelize them before adding the meats to ensure a good crust. Marinating the shrimp with a sauce is also a good tip. Now in terms of the hot pot, making the sauce is πŸ”‘ and to do so choose what you like best.

This place is wonderful. My wife and I have been twice. The quality of the meat is top notch and the marinade the meat sits in is amazing. The interior is really nice and classy. There's even a robot that brings the plates with you sometimes. Last time we went was today and I definitely ate so much I left with meat sweats. Words of warning: 1. The spicy scale is Asian scale not American. So you may pay the price twice if you know what I mean..if you mess around. FAFO 2. they will charge you if you waste (and you can't bring extras home) so I suggest you start small and just order more as you need it. They are very quick and responsive so you don't have to wait long at all. 3. It's either all hot pot, all BBQ, or all hot pot & BBQ for each table. You can't have a party of 3 and one person has hot pot and one has BBQ, etc. you do have the option for combining both for each person. This is a great spot and I wish them luck and success and hope they are around for a long time. It's a great value for all you can eat Korean BBQ and/or hot pot. Well definitely be coming back again
